Historical Price Action Statistics (UTC)

How to read the weekday profile

Each row gathers every past Sunday, Monday, ... Saturday (UTC) inside the chosen dates and summarises how those days behaved. The last row, Current Session, is today so far.

  • Total % of Days: how often that weekday closed green (Gain) versus red (Loss). About 50/50 means no edge.
  • Closing, High, Low, Hi-Lo %Delta: the typical size of the move, shown as Avg, P_68 (the edge of the normal zone: about 2 days in 3 stayed inside it) and Max (the biggest ever). Loss and Low columns are negative.
  • Colours: green = positive, red = negative, yellow highlight = the largest value in its column, gold outline = today's weekday.
  • Change Stats From / To to check whether a pattern still holds in recent years, not just over the full history.

Example: Monday shows Gain 54% and High P_68 +2.4%: about 54 of 100 Mondays closed green, and on roughly 2 of 3 Mondays price never rose more than 2.4% above the open.

How to read this chart

Every past day in the selected date range is sorted into a bucket by how far it closed from its open (for example +1% to +2%). Each bar counts the days in one bucket.

  • Green bars are up days, red bars are down days. Faded bars fall outside the middle 68% of days (the same idea as P_68).
  • A tall centre and short tails mean most days are calm. Fat tails mean big days happen often.
  • The marker shows where today so far sits. Today is not counted in the bars until it ends.

Example: If the middle 68% zone runs from -2.1% to +2.3%, then on about 2 days out of 3 Bitcoin closed within that band of its open. A day beyond +/-5% sits in the thin tails and is rare.
